Each week, our blog will feature two members of the WVU football team! It’s your chance to learn a little more about them before they step out on the field!

Number: 88

Position: Tight End

Hometown: Martinsburg, WV

Weight: 274 lbs

Height: 6 ft 4 in

Trevon is a redshirt senior tight end from Martinsburg, West Virginia and attended Musselman High School. While there, he earned all-state honors in football and basketball and received a three-star rating on 247Sports.com. After high school, Trevon took his talents to Lackawanna College located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was there for two years and missed his sophomore season with an injury. During the offseason he decided to transfer to WVU. That season he saw action in 10 games and added much needed depth to a very slim tight end group. Coming into the 2018 season, Wesco was the number one tight end and to this point has not disappointed. Being as big as he is and with NFL style hands, he is a very nice target for Will Grier. Last week against TCU, Wesco had a career day racking up 5 receptions for 86 yards and his first touchdown of the season. With WVU being a high-powered offense with speed all over the field, the tight end gets forgotten, if Will Grier and Jake Spavital can continue to get Wesco involved in the passing game, the sky is the limit.

Number: 12

Position: Defensive Line

Hometown: Leland, NC

Weight: 273 lbs

Height: 6 ft 2 in

Jabril is a redshirt senior defensive lineman from Leland, North Carolina and attended North Brunswick High School. In his senior year, he tallied a team-high 110 tackles, 27 for loss, and 5 sacks. Coming out of high school, he committed to play for Dabo Swinney and Clemson. He redshirted his freshman year and played in six games the very next year as a redshirt freshman. Throughout the next three years, Jabril was not playing the amount that he wanted to, so he decided to transfer to WVU joining Kenny Bigelow as the two grad transfers on the defensive line. Throughout the 2018 season, the depth of the defensive line has really helped the defense because every lineman has their own play style that forces the opposing offensive line to pay attention every single play. With the different schemes Tony Gibson inputs into the defensive line makes this a very difficult defense to figure out for any quarterback.
