2016-2017 was a huge year for WVU sports! Our athletes had some of the best plays and highest rankings in the nation. Let’s take a look back at all the accomplishments the Mountaineers made this year!
The football team finished the season 10-3 and was even ranked #10 in country! 
The women’s soccer team won the Big XII, played for the National Championship title and was #1 in the nation!
The men’s soccer team was ranked #15 and even upset #22 Akron!
The rifle team finished first, as always! The Mountaineers won their fifth straight National Title this year!
The women’s basketball team took home the Big XII Title and were ranked #12 during the season!
After big wins and court storms, the men’s basketball team made it to the Sweet Sixteen this year! The team was even ranked in the Top 10 during the season!
The gymnastics team ended the season ranked #20 and finishing third at the NCAA Morgantown Regional!
Although it’s still baseball season, the boys have already achieved a Top 25 ranking for the first time since 1982!
